2026 01 20 Carlops Historical Walk
This walk was targeted to cover The Allan Ramsay Red and Blue Routes. We walked the Blue Route first and then proceeded on to the Red Route.
This document about the Red Route was issued by East Lothian County Council...why I do not know, but an abbreviated narrative version of it was used for guidance during the walk.......it should be noted that we did not manage to follow the instructions and got confused much of the time.
As a word of advice it is simpler to go right down one side of Habbies Howe , and then cross the river and come up the other side
I could not find any description or .pdf file of the Blue route on the web so we are unsure of what the correct route was....perhaps Graham knows, who led the walk on this route in 2018.
